A Journey That Started
With a Single Road Trip
7 Sisters Yatra was founded in 2014 by Victor Gogoi, a proud son of Assam who spent years travelling across Northeast India for work, field visits, and exploration. Along the way, he uncovered the region's hidden gems and began guiding friends and clients through its breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural heritage. What began as a passion for sharing authentic experiences soon grew into a dedicated travel company with a mission to showcase the true beauty, diversity, and adventure of Northeast India.
The name "7 Sisters Yatra" is a tribute to the seven sister states — Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura — and the spirit of yatra (journey) that connects them. We've since added Sikkim to our family, because no journey to the Northeast is complete without the Himalayas.
